Frequently asked questions

Find clear answers about web resumes, job applications, hiring tools, public visibility, AI assistance, and what is available on uphired.me today.

What is uphired.me?

uphired.me helps people apply and hire with less busywork. Job seekers can create a web resume, find published jobs, and track applications. Employers can publish roles, review applicants, and organize hiring steps. AI assistance is designed to support the process, while people make hiring decisions.

Is uphired.me free to use?

Core career and hiring tools are free. The paid plans and prices shown on Pricing are proposed launch plans; checkout, paid features, and usage limits are not active yet.

How do I get started?

Choose Login to create or access an account. Job seekers can start with their web resume or browse jobs. Employers can set up a company profile and publish a role.

Can I create a web resume?

Yes. Organize your introduction, education, experience, skills, and professional links, then preview a resume template. Your resume is stored on the server and tied to your signed-in account. Choose when to publish your username page. Public visitors see your name, photo, username, headline, and template design; full published resume details remain available only to you and authorized signed-in recruiters.

Can I practice for interviews or exams?

The applicant area includes preview experiences for AI interview practice and exams. AI-powered generation and scoring are not connected to a live service yet. Career Plus is a proposed plan and is not available for purchase.

Can I see the status of my applications?

Yes. Your application area loads applications from your account and shows the recorded status and hiring steps. Progress depends on the employer updating their hiring process; a status is not a promise of an interview or job offer.

Will I hear back about every application?

We aim to make hiring progress clearer, but we cannot guarantee a response from every employer. Automatic candidate feedback and notifications are planned, not live.

What can employers do on uphired.me?

Create a company profile, publish job listings, review applications, organize hiring stages, and manage scheduled interviews. Some AI and automated workflow experiences remain previews; check the feature details and pricing page for availability.

Can AI handle the whole hiring process?

Not today. The planned workflow can coordinate screening, exams, interviews, and recruiter-approved feedback. Recruiters will choose criteria and next steps, such as a final meeting or onboarding, and remain responsible for the final decision. End-to-end automation is not connected to a live hiring service yet.

What happens when a candidate passes or does not pass an automated step?

In the planned workflow, recruiters choose whether to route a candidate to another stage or send respectful, recruiter-approved feedback. Automatic pass/fail routing and messages are not connected to a live hiring service yet.

Can I use ready-made or custom exams for candidates or employees?

Exam options are described in the product roadmap and proposed plans. AI exam generation and automatic delivery are not connected to a live service yet. The proposed Hiring Plus plan is not available for purchase.

Does AI make hiring decisions?

No. AI is intended to assist with preparation and organization, not replace human judgment. Employers remain responsible for reviewing candidates and making fair, lawful hiring decisions.

What can search engines see on my web resume?

Only profiles that are published and opted into public discovery are eligible for indexing. Search metadata uses your public name, headline, photo, and username, not your private resume summary, education, work history, or contact details. A published but unlisted profile is marked noindex. Search engines control when they recrawl and remove older results, so changes are not immediate.

Are my profile and application details publicly available?

Your published username page shows your name, username, profile photo, and professional headline. If you choose public directory visibility, your directory card can also show your summary, skills, and join month. Full resume details and application records are not published in search metadata. Authorized recruiters can access full published resumes. Approved employer reviews may appear on public profiles.

Where can I find more information about privacy?

Read the Privacy Policy and review your account visibility settings before publishing. Public information may be copied or indexed by third parties. Do not put sensitive personal information in a public name or headline.
